Our Australian friends invited Cliff and Trish to accompany them on a guided trip to the Fayoum Oasis. (Nancy and I stayed in Maadi for Curtis' first basketball game.) The trip started with a visit to the Virgin Tree in old Heliopolis, then went on to the Meidum Pyramid and ended with a late lunch at a hotel on the large lake in the Fayoum Oasis.
